New City, New Beauty Routine - Living in D.C.

Ever since I moved to DC from the humid south, my skin has been funky (more acne prone but dry) and my hair has been brittle. Growing up in Georgia, I always thought I had “oily” skin and had to wash my hair on a daily baisis. Apparently, that is not the case anymore.
After talking to a couple hair stylists and my new dermatologist in D.C., I learned that dry hair and skin is a common complaint from out of town-ers (or maybe they were just trying to make me feel better).
I headed to Blue Mercury to find some products that would do the trick of hydrating my hair and calming my skin. I also refreshed the 3 beauty products I can’t live without.

To nourish my dry hair-
R +Co Moisturizing Conditioner - $29
To pull the city pollution out of my skin-
Kiehls RareEarth Deep Pore Cleaning Masque - $33
*Consistency of clay, but smells amazing.
To keep my skin protected from the harsh summer sun-
Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm - $60
To postpone the aging process-
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream - $54
*This is a new beauty step for me. I used to never use eye cream until recently.
The three beauty tools I can't live without-
These three products help me create a pouty lip and a dramatic cat eye. I use natural and nude colors to make my lips look fuller.
Lipstick: Bobbi Brown Lip Color, Tulle 34 - $29
Lip Liner: Bobbi Brown Lip Liner, Beige - $26
Liquid Eye liner: Bobbi Brown Liquid Eye Liner - $32
Love,
